About Dr. Benjamin A. Cox
Dr. Benjamin Cox, D.O. is a sports medicine fellowship trained, board-certified, orthopedic surgeon, specializing in surgical and non-surgical care of bone, joint, tendon, ligament, and muscle injuries. He has trained in fellowship with world renowned surgeon, Dr. James R. Andrews, MD, at the Andrews Institute for Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine.
Dr. Cox has cared for athletes from the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, and numerous colleges and universities. He is the Head Team Orthopedic Surgeon for Central Michigan University, and previously served as the Associate Team Physician for the Auburn University Tigers and as the Football Team Physician for Tuskegee University. He has been involved in research pertaining to Orthobiologic Regenerative Medicine, as well as the prevention of youth injuries in sports.
